Conservation of resources and process optimization at the POS
Instead of almost 10 work steps, AUTHADA onsite means only a few steps are required at this large bank. Thanks to AUTHADA onsite, employees can now identify their customers at the POS in less than half the usual time. The challenge: to reduce time at the POS and avoid mistakes
Performing an identity check of customers using Id documents is one of the most frequently performed processes at this bank. Before onsite was introduced, almost 10 work steps per process were required for customer onboarding. The consultants had to spend almost 10 minutes on this. The customer data had to be entered into the system manually, which could lead to errors in the transfer. In addition, the authenticity of the identity documents had to be verified by the consultant, then copied and scanned. Finally, they had to be sent by mail to be archived manually.

The AUTHADA solution in action
The integration of AUTHADA onsite eliminates many work steps. In one single step, the ID document is checked for authenticity and validity, the ID data is read and automatically transferred to the bank’s system and archived. The ID document is also scanned in this step, so that no more copies, internal mailing or manual archiving are required. Via the interface connection to the company’s system, the customer data is digitized error-free and compliant with the GwG within a few seconds.

comdirect, one of the most established online banks in Germany, has been offering online identification from AUTHADA since 2018. This has made it even easier for customers to open a comdirect account. comdirect was the first direct bank to use AUTHADA ident in the SDK integration version to open a custody account.
To open a bank account or a deposit account, banks are required to carry out an identity check to establish a person's identity. Anyone who wants to open an account online must also undergo an online identity check. At BW-Bank, this has been possible since 2020 not only via video identity between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m., but 24/7 thanks to AUTHADA ident and the eID function of the ID card.
